today we're going home. as mama and daddy get ready to head west,
libby enjoys some breakfast and cartoons.

Rocking, Rocking, To and Fro

remember when grandma shelley and grandpa mark last came to visit?
well, they brought libby this little rocker, which she calls her "seat"
and just adores. here she sits and rocks, just as her mama
and grandma did years, and many years ago.

luckily, libby hadn't yet mastered squeezing to spray.

she just looks so sweet in this picture. one of libby's morning joys is heading outside to water the flowers and turn on the sprinklers.
as soon as we get out she runs to the faucet on the side of the house and points to the sprinkler, the water, this and that, instructing mama as to what i should be doing next. here she got her hands on the hose, eager to help me drag it to the front and give the flowers some water,
and her little arms an irresitable rinse.

 

beep! beep! goes the horn and the little driver is pleased
mama was amazed that the moment libby got behind the wheel she knew
exactly what to do, turning the wheel, honking the horn...
turns out someone has been paying attention all this time!

Celebration

aunts wendy and sarah are babysitting this evening of july 26th
daddy, mama, casey and brian are going out.
the bar exam is OVER!

Road Trippen'

it's time to put the new van to the test and take a trip to grandma shelley and grandpa mark's house. halfway there we stopped in the city where mama and daddy's love was born. it's time to run around and play!

it may be the steepest slide she's ever descended,
but libby's sure the fasted way to do that again is climb
right back up to where she started

 

all that play wore sleeping beauty out.
mama and daddy were pleased that she slept at least a bit
during the last 2 hours of the journey.

 

once back in mama's neck of the woods we decided to spend a day
on the white sandy beaches of nebraska. but our time relaxing was slightly delayed since the first item on our family agenda
was getting the new van stuck, and then towed...

we didn't get the subaru outback!"
